(GMOD) Gordon Freeman and the G Man

A man in an environment suit lies on the ground unconscious.
Then he awakes and finds himself in a back void.
He looks around him, and he then remembers what happened before blacking out.
An experiment gone wrong, stopping a creature, leading a revolt against an alien force that conquered Earth, closing a portal,
...and seeing his friend crying over her father's death.

"Greetings, Mr. Freeman." a voice said behind him. The man turns around and sees another man in a business suit and carrying a suitcase.
"I apologize if this is sudden to you, but do you remember what has transpired?"
Freeman simply nods in a solemn manner.
"I thought so." the strange man said, "Now, this may seem off topic, but you do know the possibility of parallel universes, correct?"
Freeman nods again.
"Well then, that leads to an offer my employers forwarded to you." the strange man explained, "My different set of employers to be exact."
Freeman raises his eyebrow in confusion.
"They reside in a universe, where those alien forces called 'Combine' have enslaved nearly all the worlds there," stated the strange man, "and those worlds not conquered have united together to rise up against the Combine. But the odds are not in their favor, for their forces have dwindled due to the unexpected rise in power the Combine have received."
Freeman listens intently and suspiciously.
"Thus, the employers from that universe have made an offer which I will relay to you," said the strange man, "'Will you, Doctor Gordon Freeman, help us defeat the Combine and restore peace to our universe?'" There. I've done my part. You may take your time to do yours, but not for too long. Their offer stands until it will be too late."

Freeman thinks about it. He was unable to save one of his friends from death, and this man who appeared to him before had his way with him, using him to stop the Combine in that world. Freeman failed to save one closest life, so he won't let the same thing happen in another world again. He turned to the strange man and nodded firmly.

"A wise choice you have made, Doctor Freeman." the strange man stated. He began to disappear and Freeman notices that he is disappearing as well.
"You will be transported to that universe shortly." the strange man told Freeman. "If anyone asks..."

Freeman feels sleepy as he heard the last words of that man.

"...just tell them that the G Man sent you."

Gordon Freeman then falls asleep.

Just simply something I wanted to do. Is it a stand alone thing, or is it leading to a new project I have plans to work on? Only time may tell.
